ok just a round up of any rumours that have been going round for soni this year.

btw its still in the making as i'm trying to sift through all the names being chucked around and which are credible or not.

Strong Rumours

Killswitch Engage - Metalhammer podcast hinted they would be playing soni, since then their singer has left so will have to see.

Rumours

Billy Talent - Going to be touring this year, but looking unlikely due to tour dates announced so far.

Van Halen - touring this year, but no dates announced yet so yet to see when they will be touring Europe.

Kiss - world tour this year for up to 18 months, no dates announced yet.

Lostprophets - got a new album out and likely to play a festival or two.

Guns N Roses - was a rumoured date in Poland on June the 30th, if so could possibly bring them into contention.

Tool - touring the US this month and with a new album out in May. haven't been to the UK in a few years.

Queen, Slash & Faith No More - apparently leaked by French Radio to be playing sonisphere France so could see any of these 3 feature.

Koяn - touring in March and no hints to whether they will play festivals or not, unlikely though.

QoTSA - currently making a new album, which could see them touring later this year.

Rammstein - UK tour in feb/march, and nothing yet planned for the summer. possibly not playing any festivals due to the tour though.

Will update it more in the morning, just got some on here to get it started. if i have missed any out let me know and i will edit them in.

I have a feeling this is Rammstein that will be playing R & L and are the band that Download wanted, I cannot see that they will end up playing no festivals this summer on the back of the 'Made In Germany 1995-2011' tour which is expected to be there last shows for a while and I've seen a few reports saying sources have said they are playing a few festivals.

yeah i know, they still have dates booked throughout june and haven't cancelled them yet so i will keep on top of seeing what happens to the other dates already booked

as for Van Halen, i'd say unlikely now as that tour is spanning america for just over 3 months. if they are to tour then it might be later in the year

I don't think that's necessarily the case. That Dragonforce gig is the first item in the latest Kili-Live newsletter that just dropped into my inbox, so it's probably just them pushing a gig that Kili is promoting to an audience that'll have an interest in it.

As much as id love rammstein to be headlining reading i cant see it happening!

Yeah I've heard rumblings they may play. After Soni got TMV to do a rare festival performance this year, maybe ATDI will return for a similar slot?

i think reading might get them, but there is a new mars volta album out next year so who knows what band will play where.
