Hi All,

I'm a newbie to the Isle of Wight Forums but received an e-mail today saying I'd won VIP tickets to the festival in 2012.

Super Happy but I have no idea what the VIP includes - I did have a look down the forum and tried to search but VIP is less than 4 characters. So sorry if this has been asked before.

Think theres different levels of VIP...most festivals you'll get a better campsite and limited backstage access...don't think you'll be getting to share a sleeping bag with Springsteen!

Congrats and have a good one!

Cheers, wasn't expecting to meet the artists, only ever been VIP to RockNess. Can't get over winning tickets. Still in shock I think.

Depends who you won the tickets from - the festival has two VIP areas, there is the main on on the left-hand side of the stage which is run by the festival and gives you a reasonable viewing area with a cash bar with seating, food tent and decent flushable toilets. Also Virgin have their own VIP area on the right-hand side with an elevated balcony and marquee area. But apart form that the two areas are much the same.
I've been in the festival VIP area and found it makes the festival feel a bit sterile as you're disconnected from the main crowd by a 6ft fence, the atmosphere on the other side is far better.
You'll occasionally run into artists in there, but mostly they keep to the green room areas backstage.
