Very likely that they're going to be touring around festival time after their album release next year. They've played at Reading recently and headlined Download a few years ago.
Could they be at Sonisphere for the first time in 2012? If so I reckon they'd be Second Stage Headliners or Main Stage subs.

I dunno, they played V fest last year, probably nailed on for R&L as always.
besides are they really a band for the target audience of soni?

They had biffy here this year why not prophets? they headlined download back in 08? Whats to say prophets with a new album under their belt couldnt do it. They certainly have the songs to do so. Mind you im biased im a die hard prophets fan having seen them 15 times

Prophets wont headline, the difference between Biffy & Prophets is one is popular and making a step up whilst the other is on the slide.

I'm not sure whether playing Soni or not playing Soni makes then less likely for Reading, but whichever one it is, I want it to be that.

Saw them at Reading the year of the GNR fiasco - Prophets do have some good songs but the setlist they cranked out that day was turgid.
The brief cover of FNM's "The Real Thing" was totally lost on most of the (teenage female) audience.
