No - he confirmed he was talking to them - not necessarily for IOW, he is a full time promoter of various events - and for some reason he did send the tweet to Shed Seven as well.

Take it you're not very twitter savvy Scottie.
It was a reply to someone who asked would you book Feeder or Shed Seven for IOW, the person asked using the bands twitter names so John Giddings must have selected reply to all, and then just said in talks with Feeder.
So yeah, he did mean for IOW cus it was an answer to that question.

LOL.
Opening the main stage. Remember seven years ago when they played third from top before Travis (!) and Roxy Music, the day after they headlined Download. Ahhhh, 2005, when Feeder came back and said "right, we're going to be massive now." and now they open the main stage. I presume its a mid/late afternoon, but even still... how the mighty have fallen.

I assume it's a V fest type idea, where they get a band to play a lower slot to encourage people to go into the arena earlier.

Or it could just be that no one gives a shit about Feeder anymore since they went all soft rock ballady crap.
Does the world really need any Snow Patrol's? Let alone more than one.

yeah at least at IOW they're only 5th down at V 2 years ago they actually opened main stage as in playing at midday!
Dunno why they've fell from grace so much, they aren't THAT unpopular now surely that they have to play that low, can't understand why Noah and The Whale are above? Are NATW really bigger?

Was that when they started calling themselves Renegades? That might explain why they got such a low slot.

To be fair, Prophets played very low at V Fest too.

They were doing shows as Renegades at the time but this was as Feeder and played just Feeder songs

Yeah but Feeder have had high slots at V before, they headlined second stage, so it was quite a fall from grace

I think thats just a ploy by V to get people in the arena and spending money when the gates open rather than sitting in their tents drinking free beer...Squeeze played first a few years ago as well...again, would warrant a much higher slot
