Giddings has tweeted bout lady gaga. Its a strong possibility. I was thinking this yesterday

I think alot of people aren't reading the original post properly, haha.

He's already said it's three American rock bands, keeping dancier acts on the second stage. If he was to book Lady Gaga as a headliner after saying it's three American ROCK bands, i'd like to know why he lead us all on :P

Or what he actually said was American headliners...

"Well I've made offers to them, so let's not tempt fate, but I'm aiming for the 'American Trilogy'. What that means is that in the 'Big Top' I'm going to have more dance and urban acts than I've ever had before."

I could of swore he said three big American rock bands in one of his interviews? Unless I watched the interview and somewhere else it said it was going to be three rock headliners, like a misquote or something. Either way, Lady Gaga, Pearl Jam and Springsteen would work well for me.

Curve ball perhaps.

Pearl Jam for Friday huh? I would have thought Saturday with Biffy under, Interesting.

Couple of Big headliners there. Best they've ever had at the mo for me. Wonder who their third is gunna be.

I find it hilarious that on the official IOW forums theres load of people saying Pearl Jam are a shit headliner, not big enough, maybe they could headline the second stage etc

Just ridiculous.

Pearl Jam/Springsteen are about the 2 greatest headliners I have ever seen IOW have.

I know he isn't to everyone's taste (and I am by no means suggesting anything, I know it's too soon for him to be back!), but throw Neil Young & Crazy Horse into the 3rd slot, and you have my dream festival headliners right there! Now if only it was up to me... :-)

Sure i on the TITP forum people were saying that if Bruce Springsteen got announced for TITP he would probably headline the Second Stage up against Lady Gaga :D .
Yea i would have thought Biffy into Pearl Jam would have been a better idea , but at least during Elbow you can relax before PJ hit the stage ha .

Could this then make MCR possible for Saturday headliner?  Someone had already said this, said Blink too which I didn't think. That'd be two big bands to appeal to masses of younger audience.

Anyone think HRC for PJ is now possible too?

How is Pearl Jam still not even a rumour on the actual efests site?

Glasto isn't on next year, so theres no excuse for other fests getting ignored this time :P

Maybe IOW want to officially announce themselves before any rumor goes up as that'll pretty much defo confirm it. While they haven't, there's slim chance it won't be lol.

eFests rarely post rumours these days until the acts are practically slapping them in the face. And when they do, they're normally wrong - take Radiohead for instance.

The good thing about the site is that we get to discuss rumours amongst ourselves instead! ;-)

Would Blink not appeal to more people then MCR? I seen MCR at Oxegen this year and wasnt really impressed with them (but that could have been due to the crowd that was there) but after seeing the BBC coverage of their headline set at Reading they really stepped up their game. Most people would know more Blink songs then MCR

This is the same festival that put Pink into Paul McCartney and NERD into Kaiserchiefs, I'm not sure they think into that much.
