According to nme, Muse are headlining this year.
The organisor says they will have a first time headliner as well

link to sauce?
could probably guess that the new headliner may be BFMV unless they are taking time off...

Muse would be boring, they have played every festival known to man over the past 5 years, really hope that this is not true, plus I really can't stand A7X, think they are just a poor man's G'n'R.

don't buy the nme so wouldn't see what it says.
yeah the only people it could be if it was a metal headliner is BFMV/A7X if they were stepping up, unless they take a new direction and give another band the step up..

Looking at the cover of the magazine, it is just who the 'NME' insiders think will be playing at festivals so probably just bollocks.

what NME have published is a list of poor guesses. The clue is that they've used the gigwise bollocks for their R&L guesses,. and put Prodigy as playing almost every fest when we know they're only playing Download.
Fuck me, any user here could makes guesses that bad.

Yeah, get it up ya download. You might have Sabbath, Metallica and Prodigy (and all the other bands that card would attract) but hey, we have Machine Head.
Besides, Machine head would only be confirmed until Limp Bizkit got booked above them.
Fucking babies.

Couldn't agree more, I actually quite liked the band before I saw them at Sonisphere crying and blubbering about this, I know Limp Bizkit have been called a lot over the years and quite rightly so a lot of the time but they actually came out of that situation with a lot more credit and dignity than Machine Head did.
I wouldn't go and watch Machine Head if they were on the line up never mind headliners.

That year they played their skins out and wiped the floor with Limp Bizkit, but that said, I'll always remember them crying like bitches.
And then everyone making such a big deal that they gathered up their toys and tidied them back into the pram.

Muse are so unlikely to play sonisphere, Chris (bassist) has already said album is due next october so cant see them touring during studio time. + they are too big for the festival IMO

October would surely indicate the R for V more favoureable? it's only be a month and a half before it to showcase a few new tracks?

Time to say something unpopular am i the only one who finds Machine Head dull they are nothing special just a typical heard it all before metal band them headlining any festival bigger than Bloodstock would be a bit lame and don't think Muse will do soni either.

Say wha?
It's one of the major British rock festivals now, with a lot of money so I wouldn't say it's too big for them. Also, a one off date is exactly what I could see them doing, but this is not in any way me saying they'll play, I just question TYLER_4.
