Couldn't resist a walk round Heaton Park with the dog today, Theres quite a lot of work been done!

They've built quite a fence:

Everything looks green despite the rain:

This will be the bar near gate 5:

Work on the stage from the backstage area:

I couldn't get to the arena itself.

The park was wet but firm underfoot. If it stays dry for the next few days i don't see any problems with mud......bring on the Roses :yahoo:

By then they could be drowning their sorrows with Hodgson after Engerland lose this Sunday :thumbsu:

Anyone like to guess when the Wailers are likely to start. We`ve got a fair trip down on the Sunday and won`t be in Manc till after 2pm.

Does anyone know of any pubs close to the Park that will be open in Friday that we could use to be dropped off and picked up by our minibus? Thanks.

Trying to work out what footware to take, we're going on the Friday so hopefully the ground won't be too churned up by then so it should help keep the mud at bay. Travelling down from the north of Scotland so can't really be arsed carting down wellies with me.

I was planning to do the park and ride thing, does this mean i will just queue for many hours for a bus back to the car park??

Didn't know Oasis had played there, anyone experience Park & Ride then?

How does this barrier thing work, been to loads of festies but never seen anything like that, are they just gonna cut the crowds in half??

I have a mate going on friday might need to get some ideas off him before sunday.

We got the wristbands in the post for the First shuttle bus last week. The letter says 'As demand will be heavy... your patience would be appreciated whilst we load vehicles for the return journeys. We anticipate the service will run between 22.30 hrs and 01.00hrs or until all passengers have been cleared from the park.'

I'm fingers crossed we'll make it back into the city centre in time to catch the late train home, but the train is at half midnight, so will probably be catching the first train in the morning.

Watched a bit of 'Professor Green' while I was eagerly awaiting Pearl Jam footage on the Isle of Wight highlights at the weekend.

What an absolute pile of w*nk. Who the hell scheduled this bloke in? I can't really imagine a Stone Roses crowd taking to him, but stand to be corrected

The less said about Beady Eye the better.

What an utterly poor line up.
