There's loads of rumours currently flying around about a Stone Roses re-union tour about to be announced.
The info we've had on this (which we believe is accurate, it always has been with stuff like this) leads us to guess that if they'll be doing any festivals along with their own tour, then V festival is the most likely festival to have them.

Shocked V would get them on exclusive, surely would do similar to The Verve and play TITP. Would be a massive coup for V and would get me back if decent undercard, otherwise ill do the tour

I didn't say 'exclusive', I said that V is the most likely fest to have them (said more in relation to R/L goers thinking they'd be there than anything else).
I'd certainly expect them to also play a Scottish fest if they'd going to be doing fests, and that would either be T or Rockness. There's currently reasons to make a guess for either one, but of course it's hugely likely that they'd only do one of them and not the other.

Presumably you've put them down as a SR due to the link between SJM and V
I think T in the Park is very likely, but the problem with V is that The Stone Roses would be a non-event for the vast majority of the V crowd these days (sadly), most of whom probably haven't even heard of them.
I imagine they would have to headline. Would V do that? After all why book some Indie legends when you can book Lady Gaga instead?

I'd say the fest that point's more for a scottish event is Rockness. Jim King was 1st to tweet and they got The Strokes remember before R+L got them. The Roses will get offered more to play V too.
I imagine GaGa will play T and V next year.
I'm not overly expecting The Roses and T.
I also think that if as been said they've been rehearsing all summer, then unbeknown to us, whichever festivals have them, have known they do for a while now, just kept it very secret.

I've just had it confirmed to me by sources that The Stone Roses will DEFINITELY be playing at V Festival next summer.

But most of all, I suspect it's because the promoter who is promoting their tour has a stake in V fest (that's little to do with why I believe they'll do V tho, I have sources telling me that they will).

Surely we know by this info that Pheonix will be a later summer fest than earlier one? By that, I mean not till at least July time

As we correctly said they'd be new Roses material - and as far as I'm aware, we were the only place that reported that before the press conf - then I reckon it's very likely that everything else is spot on too.

Have you had any more news on Phoenix Festival that you can release, Neil? Thinking of making it my "big" festival to go to next year...
