Hello Everyone.

I hope all is most excellent with you.

While at the Glastonbury Festival '93 I bought a beautiful hand made 'bucket' hat - the one in my profile picture.

I have worn it on many adventures through lots of good times with a range of great people.

I have misplaced or lost it, and am utterly gutted.

After rigorous internet searching using a host of relevant words and phrases, I have found nothing that even comes close to being a worthy replacement.

I wonder if you can help me.

I have to go back to the source.

Do you know where I can find a list of clothing stall holders at the festival?

Do you know any individuals or shops that have or create, unique, hand made, high quality hats like the one in my profile picture?

Many hearty thanks for your help in this adventure.

My very best wishes,
Jake

Can you remember if it was a shop that just sold hats? I seem to remember a large stall selling handmade tye die flags, shirts, hats and the like on site around that time in the World Music/Jazzworld stage area, which had loads of flags above it.

Was it made of cotton or felt?

There are a few stalls in Manchester. There is a stall I got a knitted one from but they come for the christmas markets. I have some business cards floating around the house somewhere

Thanks for responding so quickly.

5co77ie - the hat is made of soft, light cotton.  The stall was in a quieter spot - more Green Fields I think.

It was a big double fronted stall with a high roof with a range of clothing.  I met two people there - a lady who had dyed the cloth and then made the hat, and a friendly, smiley guy with light brown hair, and a small beard with a bell in it.

It would be great to find them again, but '93 is aeons ago in festival terms!!

I have a feeling I will be checking out what is around now rather than find the original maker / seller.

Rufus - any contact details from business cards that lead me to makers / sellers of unique high quality hats would be most welcome.

Thanks again.
