Quite simply, who is the biggest legend (or total nut-job) you've ever met at glasto?

Hmm. Legends? Maybe not, I am thinking along the lines of stalwarts:

Billy Bragg, Glenn Tilbrook, Fat Boy Slim....

Edit: (Not that I've met them, though I found myself standing next to Billy Bragg once outside Leftfield. I've met Mr Eavis on a few occasions who it goes without saying is a living legend).

I was sound engineering a back-stage stage in 2005 each night of the festival.  Very chaotic and rather busy as we had a very tight music curfew, we were attempting to squeeze 6 bands into just 3 hours.  I was introduced to the next act and without really looking up I shook his hand and said "Who the F&&& are you and what the F&&& do you need"?  My boss said "Ian, don't you know who this is"?  Me:  "Oh Hi Billy [Bragg] would you like a buscuit"?  I told him the score and appologised and he loved my down to earth, no nonsense approach - just tell me what you need and get on with it.

I bumped into a lad who I know called Gerry at one Glasto. I also had heard that he had just accidentally burned down his uninsured free house pub. I questioned him on this and asked how he could still be smiling when everything he owned had just gone up in smoke. His response was ' this is Glastonbury, how can you not smile'. He even went on to explain that he ran back into the burning building to get his Glasto tickets as they were his most prized possession. Legend or nut job - I'll let you decide.
