Day splits have been announced (and probably was done a while ago). Highlights for me
Thursday: Suede, The Rapture, The Drums.
Friday: M83, Flaming Lips, The Walkmen.
Saturday" Spiritualized, St. Etienne, Death Cab, The XX, Bjork.
Why Rufus Wainwright is allowed to play anywhere though. Sad times.

Kinda gutted about Codeine v Flips and M83 v Thee oh Sees, but apart from that everything else I want to see works out pretty well! Such a good line up :-)

Yeah man, that kind of weather would be awesome! Does anyone know is all the stages are out doors? Hopefully they are, watching bands in the sun is the best.
Also does anyone have any idea how to get back into town after the music finishes? From what I can tell, the festival site is a bit out of the centre (where my accommodation is anyway), so I'm worried it may be a bit of a challenge getting back after the music finishes!

http://www.optimuspr.../images/3d2.jpg that is the layout of the festival, it looks like all stages are outside. stage 2 and 3 look worryingly close to each other, let's hope the sound doesn't clash.
no idea about the journey back into town i'm afraid. we got lucky and got an apartment that is about a 10 minute walk from the park and also next to the beach. it'll be perfect for the festival days, and then on the other days we'll have to get the metro into the city centre if we wanna go sight seeing or go out at night

Yes, all the stages are outdoors, except for the events on the Sunday of course.
There won't be any sound bleed between stage 2 (Primavera Stage) and 3 (Optimus Stage) since the stage times are alternating and never overlap.
Looks like stage 1 (ATP Stage) is placed in a slope which will probably make for a really good view for the audience.

thanks for posting all the info guys:) Can't wait! When did Kings of Convenience sneak on the lineup? Nice surprise!
Hope to feck the food is decent there. Nothin worse than being stranded at a festival with just shitty stale rolls and cold hotdogs.

KoC were Bjork's replacement. Hoping they're good live, absolutely love them on record!
I'd imagine food will be pretty good, better than UK stuff anyway! The site is close to Matosinhos where there's supposed to be loads of good places to eat /drink so if it is bad on site, you can always leave and get something good!
Also, for anyone else wondering about getting back into town after the music finishes. I did some research and there's buses running from outside the site back into the centre all through the night. :-D

I never even noticed bjork cancelled:D No loss IMO anyway. Much prefer Kings.
Just mentioned about the food because I went to summercase in Madrid before which seems a similar setup to this, and the food was atrocious!! basically 2 choices, stale rolls with either cold hotdog or tortilla. Yuck. That Matosinhos seems a good 3km away, dunno if I fancy that. Hold on just checked and the metro is only 10 minutes walk and that seems to be in that area so that's an option for sure, nice one!
Cheers for the tip on the buses!
