With news that RHCP will be headlining one of the days was thinking they should also have a more grunge day. it would be good to be able to get a friday with Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice In Chains (Played twice already). Would surely bring in more fridat ticket sales.

Foo Fighters grunge?
Not sure it'd bring in more ticket sales, although it would be cracking. Pearl Jam are DEFINITELY headliners though, and Soundgarden at a push might be.

Foos, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden would only headline so you wouldn't get them on the same day, plus Matt Cameron drums for Pearl Jam and Soundgarden so you wouldn't get both of those on the same bill. Nice idea though.

Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden as headliners across the 3 days maybe. That would be a massive draw! Maybe lacking in sense of appealing to the people that only listen to Slayer and Machine Head, but I'm sure they will get someone like Lamb of God to keep them happy for an hour!

Isn't the chilis just a rumour at the moment?

I'm hoping Sonisphere doesn't go generic music themed day - I like the fact it's a bit more open billed than that.

What about Black sabbath - there seems to be a growing speculation about them reforming
