Short but very, very sweet. I thought they did a very decent job of capturing the essence in 12 minutes, though, as usual, the wacky presenters feature a bit too heavily. They have such great footage, though, surely that's not all they are going to put together? There is a fabulous DVD in there. I'm sure the choice of artists they included will divide opinion but for every Joanna there's a Treefight, for every Marling, a Bob Log, and there's a great John Grant sequence.
Don't know about 4OD but it's on Catch-up for Virginmedia punters.

Talking of John Grant, he's on BBC4 tonight in a bizarre looking 'Songwriters Circle' with Allen Toussaint and James Dean Bradfield! Also, a rerun of 'Troubadors' and a new 'Singer Songwriters at the BBC' compilation including Tim Buckley and a Leonard Cohen/Julie Felix duet!

Wacky presenters indeed. Total idiots. Anyway, good to see snippets of a variety of acts.
It seems official from the horse's mouth that the attendance was 10,000 (for those here that are still debating it.)

Fantastic! Too much Newsom, though...she really does put me in mind of a mental patient doing a Bjork impersonation. The John Grant segment is just stunning, though. And as for his Bobness, well...roll on the Bob Log sitcom!

...for the record, I view any Newsom as too much...

So, reading between the lines, Nick Cave next year?

That's certainly what I'm hoping for. Always felt he would be a good fit anyway.
I watched this a couple of times last night and didn't see myself. But didn't really expect to. Such a shame it was so short. Would have been nice to stretch it out for another 10/15 minutes at least. Rockfeedback gave Primavera 25 minutes of coverage, EOTR deserved it as well.

Wackojacko - Thanks for saving me the anguish of having to turn my TV on - some nice varied footage ( I DID wonder what JN sounded like live).

nice to see, especially as i wasn't that but it was pretty shit in relation to how good eotr is. John Grant helped to make up for it though.

WackoJacko - many thanks for posting the link - great stuff! John Grant bit alone made it worthwhile - spine tingling (and no I wasn't the one who asked him for his phone number
)

Its good, but really really short, will it disappear in 5 days??? Oh it just reminded me how great John Grants performance really was. Agree tho about the presenters, that is the guy who actually started up Rockfeedback right? Who is the woman and WTF is she going on about Dawsons Creek, does she think we are all teenagers, I wasn't really sure if she was taking the piss or not.
I saw Big Deal last night supporting Cloud Control and chatted to Alice afterwards, she said how lovely EoTR was.

Jen Long, Radio 1's Introducing DJ in Wales and well respected Cardiff-based promoter, DJ, journalist, studio owner, label boss, tour manager and mp3 blogger. Described EOTR as having "bible waves". So, yes, probably.
