No love for I Am The Fun Blame Monster?
I'm not sure I can quite rank Friend And Foe and Mines. FaF has their best song in Wet & Rusting, but Mines is more consistent, for me. And Dirty Cartoons, nearly matches Wet & Rusting.
I'm definitely in the "book 'em, EOTR!" camp. Saw them at The Barfly when FaF was released and they were a fantastic band. One of them has left now, of course, to concentrate on Ramona Falls (if you haven't heard them, I fully recommend that you remedy that), but I'm sure they're just as good.

No, The First Menomena Album sits well with me, just not as highly as F&F, which just about slips into the great album category (which is a title I've been told I throw around too much, hence why Mines is only bloody good).

Yep, Jazz Cafe, Camden, Tues - very excited!! This will be the 4th time I've seen him (Sipperana's 3rd...)
Went down to see him in Manchester on Saturday, first time since, ahem, 1975! Cracking show, very energetic 2 hour set, though Todd was looking reassuringly paunchy. 'New' venue - refurbished Ritz - but usual shitty bar problems. Thankfully, my companion was an ex-local and introduced me to 'The Briton's Protection' and 'Peveril Of The Peak' before and after, fine ales in lovely old buildings. How big is the Jazz Cafe?
Drove back the following afternoon for the launch of Jonny Kearney & Lucy Farrell's first proper CD (with added Unthanks!), 'Kite'. Another delightful evening, helped considerably by a fantastic support act, Tim Dalling of the New Rope String Band. Would be great in the Tipi. I also expect to see Jonny & Lucy back at EOTR and/or NDH next year.

Good gig, but not brilliant. The Jazz Cafe is tiny - I'd estimate 300 capacity. We were very close to the front, ie about 4 feet from Todd! I loved some of the older stuff, although wasn't keen on the bossa nova version of It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference. The medley was great. Good banter, and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves

It seems that NDH has its own facebook and facebook forum pages plus twitter, so I am wondering to myself is this forum gonna be used for both festivals? And why does it say NDH "curated" by End of the Road, that implies that it is not actually "their" festival.
I haven't got a ticket because I don't think I can make the dates but if they start making band announcements I bet I am going to want to go...must be due some information soon.

Only caught 10 minutes of Josh(ing) at EoTR due to now-forgotten clash, so looking forward to a few songs at Leicester this week. It's several months since last played the LP which I'm still undecided about.

Mazzy Star was just announced for Primavera, so I'm guessing they could be a good possibility for No Direction Home. They would certainly be a big draw for me.
