Pleased to see PJ Harvey win the Mercury Prize. Haven't heard all the albums on the short-list but I do like Let England Shake.
Amusing discussion going on on Twitter about the win - Matthew Cain from C4 being all "who is PJ Harvey? No one knows or likes that album" http://twitter.com/#...!/MatthewCainC4

It was not a diss. U2 when they started, were not so bad honest! They were massive JD fans and nearly wet themselves when they met JD.....

Actually, it's all too easy to have a pop at Bonio and The Splodge and the boys without remembering they made some truly excellent records - Boy, October, Unforgettable Fire and half of War are wonderful. And I still really enjoy "Live at Red Rocks"...
That should put the cat amongst the hipsters!

Being vegan i find it odd that Sainsbury's ready salted, cheese and onion and Salt n Vinegar crisps are all not suitable yet Bacon Fries? Yep, i can eat those buggers. And i do, oh yes, two slices of bread, buttered (soya spread) a little bit of vegan mayo and bam, how's yer father. Lovely job
