Just found out I had £250 sitting in my Paypal account. Not any longer! £150 for EOTR or £210 with NDH, made me realise there was no point in delaying.

Nope, I always wait for the line-up first before deciding to go. Like others, I'm considering Green Man in addition to or maybe even as a possible alternative to End of the Road due to the demise of Truck.

Thanks for the post Riverlodge - some interesting comments as well, along the lines of:
"I've been to Reading and Leeds a couple of times before, but hadn't planned to go this year. I ended up nabbing a weekend ticket for £100 a few days before it started from some poor newly-unemployed in Ebay . I think i might stick to leaving it to the last minute for the future as with demand being a bit lower, it's easier to get a good last minute price, although i do fancy going to End of The Road next year, and that one does seem to be popular."

Re: NME coverage - most depressing use of £2.40 since my last pint of Doom Bar in Wetherspoons.
Nothing against HEALTH, but not sure leading with them painted a good picture of EOTR

Paste it up so I can read it over coffee in the office. Thank you.

now +1 to EOTR.
(he knows almost nothing about music, which is even less than me, we'll be lucky to muster a 5 out of 10 between us for any band tee contest)

Sorry didnt mean to post that twice!
RE NME
RRR Paste it up? Beyond my technical abilities... as KYT said better off as loo paper.
I am sure that I went to a different festival. Was curious if the increased coverage in NME, was an indication of the new customers to EoTR? is it getting trendier? Does it now have a split personallity or was that always the case.

Probably just NME catching up the festival really.
Review was pretty odd, but then i guess they cover the bands they think their readers will be interested in.

I was less impressed this year than previous years and thought £150 was a bit much for a festival but then I started doing my xmas cd list and realised how many good bands I'd discovered. £210 for two festivals doesn't seem such a bad deal so... Wifie & me are in.

If there's a duck on a stick in attendance, there'll be a me.
