I don't think I'm too old to go at 30, what I'm saying is the line up appeals to me less every year as it's aimed at a younger market. If I had the cash i'd definately be at Leeds this year but festivals like Bestival and Latitude have more going for them and have line ups more suited to me now.

2012 will be my 4th Leeds on the bounce if i choose to go...ever since about october time i thought that's probs it for me, i wont return unless i volunteer to get my ticket free.. As its my local festival (half an hours drive) and where i lost my festival 'virginity' it has a special meaning really...
On a sad friday night in January, I'm sat here looking through youtube video's and pictures/memories over the last 3 years ive been...and thinking ''I actually love this place''. There's no doubt that I'll be returning in one way or another - the perfect way to see off summer IMO.
Love every minute of it, the more I think about it, the more I realise I want to go!

It really depends on the line up, I have so many other nicer festivals lined up, it will take something special to get me to Leeds this year.

LIke others have said leeds/reading is a good send of to the summer, especially as I can never go to bestival.
missed the last two and missed it in a kind of way, I tend to go to one early in summer and one at the end. Although I do feel a tad to old for leeds, v is only 10 minutes drive away but I shudder at the thought of going there nowadays.
so will likely go, but will probably have more to do with nme headliners than the main stage headliners for me.

Now bennyk I forbade you to go to any festivals, this is your mother speaking. I dont want you to get up to any shenanigans and taking drugs and all that stuff. You have to stay at home and be an alter boy at the local church, do you understand me.

I can't wait for the line up to be released, have a massive moan about it on here, tell newbies Bestival is better & cheaper, buy a ticket, have a great time, then tell everyone how brilliant it was, then still go to Bestival.

I will be going to the festival that books The Cure as headliner. Someone has them. If that means Reading, then Reading it shall be.
plus if Refused. Soundgarden etc are at Reading then fantastic.
