Definitely easier to walk to the station IMO. Or Run!

For Fri and Sun, it should be fine. No queues for the trains then.

For Sat, that would be tighter.

I've heard the front left of the main stage opens the exit gates after the headline act. Anyone know if that's true?

Possible but not advised, you have 40 mins to get there but isn't the problem you have an exam next week and not getting home every night? You're still going to be tired but now with the added stress of dashing about every night. You're better off either not going at all or going and drinking (or other)  with in reason.

So, I'm thinking of taking a train their/back every night and then getting a taxi from the station to my house. I sold my ticket for a lot more than I'll be paying for the new one, so I don't mind the cost of this.

The last trains home are:
Friday - 00:15
Saturday - 00:03
Sunday - 02:24

How long would you say it takes to walk or get a taxi up to the station at the end of the night?

Are you aware there is work going on at the Station ?

It should also be mentioned that those getting the train to Reading everything has changed somewhat as they are currently starting/undergoing a massive redevelopment of the the station and platforms/lines/surrounding area and basically as a result - taxis are not gotten where they used to be as all the roads had to be re-marked due to changes in traffic flow as no buses run from the station now and where you get the taxis from has changed as well, the road that you walk down from the station was closed off to traffic by loads of portocabins that have been put there as part of the building work & this has been all boarded off, don't worry its fine to walk around etc...just be prepared for the outside area of the main entrance of Reading station to look a bit different than what your used to seeing every year

Now this may be a solution ' but you need to check up in advance ' as I have no way to know if this is still possible .

There is a side way to enter the station.

If the main entry road is blocked then I would expect taxi drivers would know the side entry.

There is a road that goes to a car park that has a bridge over the railway tracks and walking over that takes you straight into the Station.
