Hi, its my first time at reading festival. Was going to camp, but now maybe staying in a hotel in centre of reading, at the premier inn. So my question is, how easy is it to get a taxi from the festival site at the end of each day, or is the preimer inn in the centre of reading walkable. The hotel is near the oracle centre.

Thanks

Laura

It's walkable- will probably take longer by taxi due to traffic

At night there's no traffic, there may be a problem for the queue of taxis though.

Your hotel is on the "wrong side" of the Oracle but you really are looking at only about a 20-25 minute walk to the festival site.  Getting a taxi back afterwards might be a good idea (I live about 30 minutes walk away and normally use a taxi home) as you will be tired and there is a reasonably good taxi rank opposite the entrance to the leisure centre (which is basically on the camp site) and the taxis don't tend to have to queue to travel away from the site, just to get to it.
