Hi everyone.

I'm here to sell my reading fest weekend ticket.

The ticket is currently on ebay with a starting bid of £100 and no reserve.

here's the link

http://www.ebay.co.u...9#ht_500wt_1156

If someone on here wants to buy the ticket I will take it off ebay.

I'm able to personally deliver to anyone in the bucks/berks area for £5

I can deliver further away for a small price.

Additionally I can meet you outside the front of the venue and sell the ticket there.

For me to take the ticket off ebay I will need a £10 deposit via pay pal. (please reference this thread when making the payment)

I'm open to offers, please either email me at  James _ DB @ Btconnect . com or call me on 07515023712

Thanks for reading

James

You've listed an incorrect email address and if you're going to charge to deliver the tix in person you may aswell just send it in the post as it's the same price.

Quote

I did plan to attend the festival but unfortunately the line up is not really suited to my music tastes so I'm giving it a miss this year.

So why did you buy the tix if you didn't like the line? And your ebay history shows you've touted tixs before, so I hope you lose loads of money on the tixs to balance it out.

His ebay history shows nothing of the sort.  One Reading 2008 ticket sold and you don't even know what price that was at.

Give the lad a break, just trying to get some of his money back on his ticket.

Have you considered that he may have bought his ticket in the pre-sales before the line up was announced?

Hi there

yes the email address is correct. The spaces are there as an attempt to protect myself from spam.

The full line up was not released un till after I had bought the tickets. I rarely go to reading festival for the headline acts. Additionally, as always there is a rush when the tickets first go on sale. I have missed out in the past I did not want to do the same again. If i don't like the line up, I can always sell the tickets on.

Yes you will see that I have sold 3 other reading tickets and leeds ticket. I happened to buy 4 reading tickets for me and my friends to go, as above none of us liked the line up. As for the leeds ticket, that was my girlfriends who decided she didn't want to go.

Additionally I'd like to point out that delivering the tickets personally allows the buyer to see the ticket before they buy it (as you may know there are some fakes going about). And additionally it means I don't have to rely on a postal service which is known to mess up. This is very important seeing as the festival starts on thursday. On top of all of that theres no way i can scam someone if I just give them the ticket for cash outside there house.

Thank you for the warm wishes. Next time I decide to change my mind about a music event I'll clear it with you first.

Tix sold for £275 (the price is listed next to the sold item name), that year they were sold for £155 and the rest of seller history is hidden so you can only see the feedback and not the item or price, that combined with the flimsy excuse and him apparently going to be "outside the venue" shouts tout to me and I still hope he loses money on it to blance out what he overcharged before.

This was also the year that weekend tickets were being sold for £500 outside the site entrance.

We had a group of 35 of us go that year, one person dropped out and my mate got £300 for it from a tout, so he doubled his money by not going.

Perhaps the auction ended at £275 with people bidding up to that amount?

You mean tout, that's where you buy tixs to sell later for more money than you paid.

If you're selling fake tickets then it's more likely you'd want to meet in person as although they have a ticket it wont be any use to get in, unlike over the internet when done properly you have paypal/credit card protection. At this point it's safer to buy tixs online as where the scams happen it's because people buy to far inadvance and the protection doesn't last till the event but that's beside the point.

I gave you no warm wishes but you don't have to clear it with me, just don't tout or if you do tout lose money and I'll be happy.

Yes, touting. I could of sold any number of tixs for the gigs I go to to make double my money by not going but for some starnge reason I don't.

Scarletmist.com fan to fan face value tixs, much better.

Jump what is your problem.

I'm a genuine seller selling for a genuine reason. Yes I've sold tickets in the past due to various personal reasons. I have never bought a ticket with the intent to sell as I consider that to be a twatish thing to do.

I have given prospective buyers a number of choices regarding delivery/collection of the ticket. I came to sell the ticket on here along side the ebay auction because if it doesn't sell im out of pocket for a fair bit. I could go an sell it outside the festival on the morning but i don't want to go looking for buyers there, I'd rather have it all organised.

Hi again,

I have already explained, I hope you lose money on the tix to balance out the money you have made from touting in the past.

Jump - your off your head fella.  Touting is buying tickets with the intention of selling for profit.

We took our mates ticket with us (as it was a last minute drop out) hoping to get his money back and got offered double.  Would you have told the tout no mate you keep the extra £140 your offering me?!

Works both ways, in 2009 a mate dropped out and we only got £100 for it.  This year a friend has 3 spare tickets and are still unsold despite punting them round for £120 each!

Nope, touting is when you sell ticktes at inflated prices...

I wouldn't sell to a tout, I would sell to another fan for face value as I always do even if I did find a tout so stupid he doesn't know who to tout.

Touts generally offer less than face value for the tix even if it's sold out as a starting point and then face value, as the game is to get a good margin which you don't get by offering double the price on the 1st go as you'll than have to tap up that amount and with bedroom touts there's less on the day demand so to invest that amount of is just plain stupid.

You have a lot of unusual frinds who can't seem to make their mind up if they want to go or not then it's their own fault for buying tixs in the 1st place.

Errr not really been to the festival with large groups every year since 1999 and it's only happened twice.

2008 - I think something came up at work for the fella and couldt get out of it.

This year 3 girls, one dropped out and the other two followed (girls eh?! ;) ) as they are only really friends with the one who initially dropped out.

Things come up and people do drop out of things for genuine reasons!

As for the comment about offering double face value that year DAY tickets for the Friday were going for £280 and weekend ones for £500. Believe or don't believe Me if you want!  Touts were generally buying for around half that amount.

I'd like to use this thread to help sell my ticket (for less money than what I payed for it)

I never said I didn't believe, I found it strange you found such stupid touts who don't know who to tout and have so many friends who buy tixs and don't use them. To point again, yes people can drop out for genuine reasons but regardless when you go about touting (again selling tixs for more than they're worth) than I'm quite happy they're losing money.

DtheBUK this is a discussion forum, the same way you can come on here to sell and I can come on here to discuss. If you're unhappy don't read or reply to people rather than trying argue with people's view than you should lose money to balance the money you have overcharged fans in the past.

Good, you losing money makes me happy as I am with other people this year who take advantage of music fans by extorting them but are unable to thanks to the slow sales, karma.

3 years ago, I sold and item for what it was worth.

in fact you could say the same about anything.

What if I a bought a car and then three years later is double'd in price. Would I be taking advantage or extorting for selling it at what it at the new price?

What if i bought some gold and then sold it a year later for more money?

On that basis should I go and moan at every AE86 owner selling their car and tell them that they're extorting me and taking advantage? I'm a fan after all.

Nope, it's worth was £150 and you sold for a lot more than, a standard accounting pratice is to value things at the price bought not how much you want to flog it for. Hence I hope you lose money this this time round to balance it out. Is this concept so hard to understand as you keep struggling with it by confusing it with 2nd hand cars that are somehow worth more than new cars now.
