old son if you paid for a pre set tent i would have thought that they would have to have had insurance my son organises small festis [ UPBEAT IN UPTON check it out ] being one and everything has to has some sort of insurance so look into it old sonCongratulations on your 22nd wedding anniversary. Seriously thinking about going to that Malta festival next year. Decided to go to a small festival in Ireland at the start of June this year. Bought the tickets and hired a pre-set up tent. Just found out it's been cancelled. Not sure if I'll get the money back either. I think the technical term for that is b*llocks. Still, roll on Malta!

The only reason I went with a pre-erected tent was because I wanted to take cabin luggage only on Ryanair (for the obvious reasons!). A mate who has moved over there was going to sort the bedding out. Anyway, when dealing with the tent people I was in contact no bother with them about booking. I even agreed with them to send a Sterling cheque with that days exchange rate in Euros. Since the collapse of the festival they haven't responded to my e.mail. I don't think the omens are too good. Although I'm still going over there I don't want to spend that time hunting them down, as it were. I really think I'm going to have to write this one off. Thanks for the advice and the support though.
PS One of these days I'm going to listen to some Pearl Jam and hear for myself what has got you so hooked

A wonderful day out driving over the Black Mountains to Hay on Wye and then back over the Brecon Beacons to show two old friends visiting us for the weekend some of the breathtaking beauty of South Wales. Glorious sunshine and then a delightful evening sitting in the garden with them till 1am putting the world to rights (a bit like being at Glasto really).
Only problem was I ended up doing a bit of Glastobating trying to explain that Glasto wasn't just about the music. Sent them to bed with the programmes from the last couple of years to read so that they might get a sense of the breadth of the festival.
