We LOVED this years EIID.
Outstanding festival, great vibes, beautiful people, amazing selection of music.

Anyway, we ended up strolling into the Purple Purge stage somewhen late on Saturday night, there was a bunch of about 6 MCs on stage, with a DJ pushing out some of the most delicious sounds I've ever put my ear too. I'm pretty sure they were the headliners. As a long-time 'dance music' hater, I gotta admit, that taster of heavy dirty noises has had me craving for more ever since I they left the stage.

So can anyone help me out? Who the hell were they, and what were *any* of the tracks they were playing?

Totally agree. Plus a redhead doing a 'Lamb/Portishead' type thing. Perhaps a board at the entrance would help identify people.

That was DJ Jakeybabes/XJB with the lead singer of Alphalfa on the mic. Glad you enjoyed it!

Have to say, among the many delights of PURPLE PURGE was the sublime DUB BREAKFAST on Saturday AM but I might say that, I spekulate!  Well done all, a truly great showdown on PP stage, venue to be at.  Twas the place I kept coming back to.  Large Muffins with Cream to the Commitee wot did the work.

And, might I suggest it was the clearest and cleanest PA on the site?  Can only be tested with a bigger tent/venue for 2012.
