Apart fron the big G, did any other festivals sell out this year? even Bestival still has tickets available.
(By sell out I mean sold all their tickets and not a play on words)
Sign of the times perhaps

Of the biggies I think they've mostly all sold out or are very close to it's just taking longer this year. I imagine next year may get a minor boost from no Glasto but there will be plenty of smaller ones going to the wall I should think.

I presume day tickets are still available for Reading as well. It's weird because I consider that line up to be really strong, what with Pulp, The Strokes, Elbow and the likes.

not been for a few years now and not intending on going back....

Really? bleh. I had considered going, but the friday is just so crap I decided against it in the end, couldn't justify the cost just for 2 days worth of lineup.
They announced reading as being sold out about 3 weeks ago, bit of a crafty move to call it sold out when they still had tickets to sell, don't you think?

thought bestival would sell out, looks like a decent line up. Apart from pendulum of course. Real turd in the mix that.

On one level the V is one giant sell out.
On the ticket level presumably it has done it's usual trick of selling out in 37 seconds then releasing batches of tickets through the summer?

BlackHole2006, on 14 August 2011 - 12:10 PM, said:Clearly a case of Horses for courses as I consider the line up to be largely shite. It doesnt dovetail at all well with the Glasto lineup from this year, too many acts on at R&L that were at the G too.I presume day tickets are still available for Reading as well. It's weird because I consider that line up to be really strong, what with Pulp, The Strokes, Elbow and the likes.
