With the trouble in Leicester last night, will the low life scum manage to get this great festival cancelled ? I really hope not but I assume the organisers and police will not allow any risk to public safety. Not wanting to be doom & gloom I have a worry about this. I have even had a little look at possible alternatives. City centre trouble wont stop me going, but I suspect the police may have a different view

Nothing to suggest otherwise so far - in fact Fringe Thursday is still on despite a couple of the venues being in close proximity to an area affected last night.

I suspect it will have all settled down by the weekend, and ironically it will probably be safer in Leicester city centre than in previous years, judging by how many police will be on duty
