Just Read This "The Quietus was saddened to learn that PIAS has lost all of its stock in a warehouse fire last night. As readers of this site you will know that we are firm supporters of British (and worldwide) independent labels.
Because, even to insured labels, this is the kind of thing that can ruin businesses that exist on the breadline, we're all buying PIAS albums as MP3s today and ask that you do likewise if you can spare the money."
This affects several of the EoTR bands... Leisure Soc, Timber Timbre, Mogwai I think?

I'm probably going to pick up the latest Erland & The Carnival album from Full Time Hobby. Still haven't got that.

Full list of labels here: http://www.guardian....ck-london-riots
Many of the bigger names have plenty of stock elsewhere, but, say, Full Time Hobby seem less likely.

thanks for posting that link IJ.
don't forget what boomkat says - quite magnanimously - buy from the label directly where possible. then, cos there is a secondary effect from the loss, try and buy something in your local indie record store at the weekend.
(and thanks to pp and STN, I had see those links elsewhere but the more exposure the better i guess).

This is all so sad. It says that a number of items are unlikely to be repressed, so if there's anything you've been thinking about buying I guess it's a case of grab it while you still can.
