whatever phone I've got lasted until Monday afternoon with no problem, but it was off most of the time

why on earth anyone would want to spend time at festival arsing about with twitter and what not is beyond me...I would happily leave my phone at home

well like id have liked to have known about orbital playing at the rabbit hole and people say this kinda stuff gets put on twitter

nothing else besides that

i know they were apparently giving info on shangri-la queues or whatever via twitter..but tbh i dont care about the queue im gonna go and thats that:)

I know, can you wait til smartphones have batteries to the last the entire weekend and people are on facebook etc and instantly uploading themselves in the crowd while gigs are on? :P

My plan was to use same old nokia I had last year with couple of spare batteries but night before glastonbury departure realised it wasn't working so managed to find another old nokia but the spare batteries didn't fit.  Phone did pretty well but as had access to plug point at Tom's Field so topped it up there

iPhone4. Fully charged when I parked Wednesday at around 4am, everything switched off (wifi, data, ect) and I nursed it through until Monday morning.

Then again I have no friends to recieve texts from...........

I always get spare batteries for whatever phone I have at the time, currently a Nokia C5. I only needed to change the battery once and it lasted right through, and I still had another spare battery left over!

I took my trusty Nokia N82 which isn't that old and normally a couple of batteries is all I need for the duration of the festival.  However, this year I used a GPS app to track how much I walked around the site all weekend and although I didn't have it on all the time I still got through 7 batteries!

By the way, average distance walked per day was around 7 miles.  Eg. Dairy ground > Kaiser Chiefs > Beyonce (only for a bit, mind) > Arcadia > Stone Circle > The Park > Dairy Ground = 4.4 miles

Bought a shitee phone on the week before for £3, it literally text and called thats it, no games no nout, i charged it for 5mins in chill and charge with my mates when they charged their Blackberry's and on the final night my phone started flashing with zero bars left, i still called home for Kool and the gang, and as we left at 5am, the phone was going strong, got back to my house in liverpool about 6-7 hours later and my phone died as i put it down! great phone!

Had to give my iPhone a bit of juice at the chill and charge tent a couple of times (went before the queues though so didnt spend that long there) - was totally worth it since checking NME website meant I found out about Radiohead and Pulp (well at least had Pulp confirmed) long before most others and was at the front on the fence for both of them.

It's simple- to find out the likes of Radiohead and Pulp are on in the park as well as all the special guests in the south east corner such as fatboy slim, Carl Cox amd Thom Yorke.

My iPhone 3GS, which took a real pounding in terms of usage, lasted until Monday with an external battery pack.

Orange 'chill' and charge was a joke and a total waste of Glasto time. It must have been 30 degrees in there on the sunday and seemed really slow to charge.

if you go early its not too bad..you can drink in there after all

would be handy if it was open a bit later especially on the last night imo!

I bought a spare battery off the net for £4 + P&P. I didn't need to use it as the original lasted from Wednesday until we left on the Sunday evening. The reason for that was because I turned it off when with all my friends and only turned it back on when we had separated and needed to hook back up again. I pretty much expected this to be the case but bought the spare battery anyway.

Last year (2010) I took my samsung toco lite, which probably has the shittest battery length ever. I even took 2 spare batteries and I still went through all of them by saturday. That's with hardly any usage aswell.. This year I took my blackberry bold, lasted until sunday with quite a bit of usage too. I'm taking a spare battery for it to Reading though to be safe.. :P

yea blackberrys seem quite good for battery life, girl camped with us this year had one, lasted the whole festival and she took some photos with the camera t has - the camera's not bad either imo the photos turned out really well!! Better than most phone cameras I've ever used/seen the results of!
