i'm not much of an Elbow fan at all, but it's hard not to like Garvey and get carried along with him.  i enjoyed watching their set when i got home.

however, i wouldn't swap the memory of seeing Janelle Monae for anything.

I thought U2 looked pretty good, not as good as being there, as down the front I thought it was a great atmosphere. Though on TV the sset does look subdued, which the rain obviously had a part to play, but the end should have been much more of an ending, if they'd finished on 'With or Without You I think it would've been better.
Elbow looked brilliant, I'd heard people say about Guy Garvey having total crowd control, but he was far better than I expected. Gutted I missed their set but I'm seeing them at Leeds, and given the choice I'd still see Pulp in the park.

Gutted I missed out watching this but I was down the pub.

Elbows set was fantastic I thought and I loved Guy Garvey's interaction with the crowd, he was doing all the cliche rock gig stuff but it seemed a bit less patronising and was exactly in the right moments. It is a shame that we didn't get any songs from Asleep in the back, but I wasn't really expecting them to play any so I wasn't that dissapointed.

Also really liked Guy Garvey's interview on the BBC afterwards, he came across as a really humble bloke and he also championed The Walkmen, another fantastic band who played earlyer on that day after Graham Coxons great set at the park.

It's good coverage too, I can't remember the Birds being shown on any of the live coverage, and it's the best song on the new album (not their best performance of if it IMO, it needs a smaller venue, indoors or a tent and it sounds immense)

It's a definite "keep" on my Sky+ :)
