Argh! That was a previous point, you cannot actually sell them at face value as the cost to the seller is £35 in ebay/paypal fees!
I agree with you Seadragon to a point, but then I also think well if someone is prepared to pay a higher price for a ticket its the way things are. I am not opposed to profits for an individual who has a ticket spare. But I am opposed to tkt touts taking all the best tkts for gigs and people getting ripped off.

See I disagree. I have no problem with ebay for a lot of things and I use it a fair amount (and I agree with Sue that ebay and paypal aren't that safe at all from a buyers point of view), but I won't get into a bidding war with anyone over a ticket. It's face value or nothing for me I'm afraid.

I often have spare tickets for gigs and I usually sell them to friends or through last.fm and I have never sold a ticket for anything over face value and in doing so I've made some great friends in the process. I've also never been let down or had someone not pay. I've even given tickets away for free before if I've suddenly not been able to go rather than see them go to waste. Sell on ebay by all means, but sell as a 'buy it now' for the face value. Anything else is wrong and no better than a tout and prevents genuine fans from seeing gigs they would miss out on otherwise.
You said ebay/paypal aren't that safe, yet dealing with randoms on forum/last.fm are safer? You do realise the forum/last.fm route only serve a very minor group of people. I'm not saying whats right or what isn't, I just think the ebay option offers fairer chance for anyone who wants a ticket. The demand out strip the supply, you can't please everyone.
