What is the crowd like?

After many years going to t in the park I am fed up with the really bad attitude of the crowd so it is time for me to move on.
This year I saw fighting, loads of neds doing mosh pits to dance music, I got hit in the head by a full can of lager, saw a young kid get hit in the face by flying debris, lots of glass bottles getting thrown in the crowd.
Does this kind of thing happen at Sonisphere or are the crowd a bit more respectful of each other? Genuine question as I take my son with me and I am always worried for his safety.
Any advice appreciated!

soni crowd is chilled, on the whole there aren't many idiots from what i saw this year. the crowd are a lot more respectful of each other compared to the likes of TITP and R&L - most likely as the crowd has a fair few older people going, which lessens the likelihood of people being dicks.

The crowd was very laid back and they do a family camping area too. I remember seeing Sonic Boom 6 and a guy was in the front row with a kid on his shoulders which is something I would never see at R&L or TITP.

This year I thought the crowd was great apart from the bottle and piss throwing near the front of the stages.

Best crowd I have been involved with at a festival. Loads of pits down the front if you want it and you don't get ejected for crowd surfing! The chair brigade stay at the back and the sides unlike some other festivals.....
