We used to camp in Holts every year. I missed 2010 so this was the first time I had seen the field without camping or with extra stuff in there (like leftfield etc.)

Got to say that I did not like the new feel to that part of the festival. Too many things happening in my opinion

Anybody agree that Holts camping should be back for 2013?

Camped in holts 2008 and 2009 and had brilliant years both times. I agree on the issue of packing too many disperate stages and tents in one place with no cohesion. Why Leftfield can't go back near the meeting point I don't know, Cubana could be moved easily and Spirit of 71 is a one off anyway. It's all too congested and too near the Glade (I refuse to call it G Stage, Glade is a great name) Just don't have the 2010 compromise of a tiny strip of camping which was pretty pointless between leftfield and a massive toilet block.

Saying that we've had great years in Park Home since

That was the original plan, certainly it was announced as such. Billy Bragg said something fairly cryptic at his set about how Leftfield nearly didn't happen this year as the festival people wanted to shunt them off out the way somewhere - I actually got the impression he didn't want it moved back up that way. And then he started moaning about noise bleed from the Spirit of '71 stage (although I think it was the G Stage that was responsible).

I got the impression from the map that Dragon was open for camping again(at least, one half of it was). It's coloured light green for camping.

Did anyone camp in the cyclist camping area?

I didn't camp in the cyclist area but did walk past it on the Sunday afternoon. Lovely green grass and no litter. They also had space between tents and plenty of left over room.

Saw quite a few cyclists on the road on the way to the festival. It would be interesting to know how far the furthest cyclist went. I assume others came to Bristol etc on the train and then cycled.

Sounds like a nice spot. I had a feeling it might have more space and be a bit less, littery...  I read it also has showers. :D

Also would like to know how far people have cycled. I'm planning on riding  from north Cornwall if I can get a ticket next time. I have  mapped out my route along all the back roads and cycle tracks and it's about 130 miles.

I think I read about the showers too. Think they were heated by a bank of solar panels on the back of a truck. I would also say the cyclists face less hellish experiences in their own toilets. Can't begrudge them it though as they did get there the hard and green way.
