Anybody that just turns up with an Ipod or a bag of cd's I mean come on!!! 1 guy with a mic!!
Ok that's slightly tonge in cheek but the dance village/area is dying a death imo.
I noticed that a lot more 'indie bands' were in that vicinity this year. What's going on?

There's that new tent that has both indie and dance acts on the bill, that could have something to do with it. As far as dance music dying out, I never really stayed there but when walking past to get to the tent I always saw a fair few people there.

You're right it's broken. Dance music isn't dying, but the village isn't really working. In 2008, the sound bleed situation was a lot better, but it still doesn't quite work. Not late enough, not loud enough.
Cube Henge is still good though.

Never ventured into that area last year but went this year. I'd say Cube henge is amazing and I really liked The Pussy Parlure but the area is a bit bare. As my girlfriend pointed out to me the whole area could be doing with some decoration, all it is at the moment is a collection of tents.

I'm not a big fan of the dance village. I much prefer the shangri-la, unfairground etc.
DJs in tents is something I can see any time really.

Definitely agree about the decoration. It's a bit soulless (Which is unusual of an area in Glastonbury)

move the glade/g stage over there.have the smaller dance acts from othet stages go over to dance area.

I thought it was a bit sparse, could have used a bit of sprucing up and a common theme. I know were not at a theme park but all the other grouped stages have some sort of underlying common theming. I also think that it suffers a lot from being cut through by the path towards the camping fields by Gate A. It felt as though half the people there were only using it as a route through to somewhere else and as a result it lacks atmosphere. Using the west stage for more indie bands during the day didn't really work for me as it felt out of place.
Shame as it was the only area I was disappointed by, it just felt like wasted potential, especially when compared with the other areas like the park, shangri-la and the common.
That said, I am sure that I read in a Q&A that Eavis wants to move back to containing dance music a little more in the village so hopefully it will receive a little TLC at the same time.

Think they could do with a Shangri-la style attraction on that side to split the crowd that head to the SE corner of the site.

Sound was crap in the wow stage, ghostpoet was hard to hear with the vocals being to quiet + the soundbleed from everywhere around.

Ive always tought that its just a field with tents in it. Very cold feel to it, even in 30'c!
I think bringing the old Queen's Head/Oxlyers into the field during the day to the West dance stage helped the daytime feel a hell of a lot which helped the trek between John Peel/Introducing and Other Stage more entertaining during the day.
The bottle neck at the loos from the dance into the 'Other' food area was dangerous at times with the mud and needs opening up a touch.
I agree with getting a late night Shangri La feel going on over there, maybe slapping a venue in the middle of the place and having traffic move either side and have it as more of a journey around the place instead of a corridor for some people between JP and Other. Pussy Parlour seems to be ok daytime but apart from that, nothing seems to get going til 8pm. Maybe Another Wall of Death or similar small fairground activities in there to give it a theme. NOT big hefting fairground attractions like other festivals though. Definitely NOT what Glastonbury needs.
This would give people an alternative to the Shangri La and the terrible mess thats happening that side of the festival and thats starting to ruin the Green areas with the noise bleed

They do need to spruce it up a bit really, on Thursday when there was not much on there were about 2 million people there while on Saturday for Digweed I had room to swing a pretty hefty cat!
There is not much coherence with the DJs and acts that they have on so why not get some of the better known club nights to program the tents and put on a bit of production etc.
It would be cool to see Cocoon or Circo Loco for example take over a tent for a day or maybe a local club like Motion in Bristol.
Get some more things to go in a have a wander round that might be interesting maybe in smaller tents or stages or little bars/clubs a la Shangri La. It should be fun like the rabbit hole and shangri la is but it is just a bit soulless really.
I am a big dance fan but have never really enjoyed much in there, also don't want to generalise but some of the people you get in there are far from spreading the peace and love vibes. On Thursday especially there were some real aggresive pricks who could not handle their drink/drugs and the atmosphere was not the best!
Try to create a nice outdoor vibe (if its not raining) Get a couple of small outside bars with a few nice cocktails and a couple of palm trees and some inflatable parrots or something!
If they could do something along these lines I would be happy!
We need a swimming pool#

Its little more than a cut through thee days from the JP stage to the other stage with some diversions either side. TBH if I want hardore dance music, ie. DnB or Dubstep I'll head up to the the far reaches of the site, Arcadia, Unfair, Shangri La, Igloo, Baseline etc, not the more Tiesto, Annie Mac, Pete Tong Ibiza vibe the Dance village has to offer
