A couple of friends noticed that I still had my wristband and commented on how disgusting it was that I was still wearing it. Noticed a few people wearing old wristbands at the festival so will probably take mine of and preserve it some how, either as a souvenir or to wear next year. What's the best way to remove the metal tag?

Never got this at all. Mine was in the bin on front of the Brothers bar by Sunday night.

I don't need a band to remind me how good it was, I don't need a band to tell my stories or share my photos, I don't need a band as a token of me being there.....

I've always managed to slip mine off.  Kept it on so far, it's not dirty if you wash!

Probably want to try a hammered centre punch or similar inbetween the squashed metal (with the metal on a hard surface, of course.)
Fabric of mine actually pulled out ok this year - it's still in my lorry cab somewhere.

Know someone that last year at least still had the band from 2000 on, as well as, I'm sure, the intervening ones.

In my drawer with (I think) all my others. I like to keep them but don't do anything with them. I don't like them on my wrist after.

On another note I got back to find I'd lost my programme :(

I lost my program after setting up my tent and would really like another one but I'm not going to pay the stupid prices on ebay.

Mine will be joining the other festival wrist bands I have in my festival draw. The more interesting things I like looking at in there though is the lanyard with the set lists on. Lots of memories form from looking at the line ups and how mud splattered it is or even what day it is still folded on.  :)

I saw a girl at a festival earlier this year who had made a wallet out of all of her wristbands.

Although most of mine pre-2005 ish are plastic!

Firstly, I dont get how it is 'disgusting' if you are still wearing it? If you are wearing it then it gets showered just as much as your do, and infact ends up smelling pretty good as a result of it.

Secondly... i slipped mine off (after much effort) after deciding that pink and yellow wasnt suitable for wearing at work! It is now forming part of my keyring!

my workers band on has a gert big plastic connector instead of the crimped metalic one, much too clunky for me.  so thats coming off soon and Mrs Worm is gonna sew the ribbon back around until i've had enough.  last year that was about october.
