I was just about to start what should have been about a two and a bit hour drive that ended up taking about 6-7 hours.
I personally blame the festival and think that they should pay for either dualling the A37 or a bypass for Bristol. (

Standing on the M4 waiting for the RAC to pick me up after my cam belt went.
Cost me £800 to get fixed. Im f**ked financially after blowing loads at Glasto too.

Call me a smug git, but I'll never understand why people sit in traffic for hours- all you need is map and a (working) brain and their are B roads that will let you avoid any pain, both in and out of Glasto - in the car at least!
We were stuck on the A37 north for about 20 minutes Monday morning - I thought bollox- took up the map, got the driver to turn left and we were in a Bristol shopping centre just off the M5 40 minutes later recuperating with various sundry food/drink items.
Unfortunately the driver struggled the rest of the way and I couldnt sort any short notice insurance to drive his car myself and so we were still another 8 hours (and 4 stops) getting back to leeds in one piece. Phew...
