What festivals are you going to next year? Are any of the others non arena festivals like glasto? I quite fancy a small non arena one.....

Isle of Wight for me I think, not too sure I it has an arena or not. I don't like the idea of one though

Can't we get this season's festivals out of the way first? There's still 3-4 months still to run!

I'm gonna create my own smaller version of Glasto, invite some peeps then get peeps like foo fighters and david bowie to headline in my garden.

Plenty of non-arena festies :
Truck - coming up soon - no arena - no corporate.
Green Man - August - technically there is an arena, but pretty lax getting in to it.
Both festivals I would recommend, but both missing the "green fields" aspect of Glasto.
Festivals with arenas, and tight security include V, Reading, IOW, Oxygene and Latitude.
Latitude does, tho, have good "other" entertainment - poetry, comedy, literature, dance etc.

I'm going to do the Hop Farm Fest down in Kent. It has an arena sadly and is strict with the drink etc but it's just down the road from me, about 4 miles. From what I've heard of this one if it wasn't on my doorstep I wouldn't bother.

Yeah I love the green fields stuff and the no arena aspect....done reading festivals abroad and stuff before and didn't like them half as much as glasto
