So jel of everyone going to Bestival. I'd love to spend the last 4 days of my summer hols getting crunk with good music before it all gets dark and depressing...

I went to Camp Bestival the other weekend that was awesome probably the most actual music I have ever managed to get into a music festival, kids loved it Mr Tumble The Gruffalo et al all good.
I will also be going to Shambala at the end of the month with the family again, and very very tempted to nip across to The Isle of White for Bestival, if only to see DJ Shadow again.
You can currently buy early bird Rockness tickets for £99, very very tempting.

Just booked for Rhythm Festival in Bedfordshire. New site this year and it looks to be a promising line-up!

Happy days.
That does sound like happy day! I don't even know anything about Wilderness!
So far I've been to T in the Park since and was surprised how much I enjoyed it, though I went knowing full-well it's not in the same as glasto. I'm not getting excited for Leeds!
Though the Pulp/Mighty Mighty Bosttones clash is making me sad already

Just back from the Big Chill. Had a fantastic time. Apparently undersold by about 50% but this meant spacious campsites, clean loos, no queues for anything (including showers!) and hardly any litter! There were still enough people to generate an atmosphere at all the gigs ( and there were some brilliant ones) so from a punter's perspective it was pretty near perfect!

Exactly my thoughts. I hope Big Chill can survive the losses, but even if it does, it has to get more people in that this next time. I worry what they might do because clearly the half price tickets for yoofs packed it out last time, but at a huge cost to the overall vibe.
I really loved it just as it was this year! What a shame it can't just be like that.
