First glasto I've missed in years and must say I was tempted to head down there and chance my arm with some of the staff on the gates.

Out of interest does anyojne know if people got in like this ? Or all the folks using someone else tickets, how did you get on ?

Apparently a fair few people managed to get over the super fence using tress as cover and a ladder to scale it...........

This method was used by tent robbers as far as I am aware.........

A group were ejected from the site by security/police on Saturday morning. This was in the Dairy Ground area. Undercover security told us they had hopped over and hardly any get away with it. He said they may slip one security a couple of hundred quid but they will be picked up by another.

It is defo possible to get in without a ticket.  Going rates (I heard) were between £100 and £300.

You borrow a wristband and ticket, take them out to your ticketless mate, give him your pass-out.  Then try and get back in yourself saying you lost your pass-out.  You still have your own ticket and wristband afterall.

He then tries to get in, hoping that the ticket wont be scrutinised because he has a wristband, ticket and pass-out.

Highlighting it on a message board wouldn't be right but there were easier ways apparantly.

Seems very silly that this works. Whats the point in the Pass Out system then if some of the people on the gates are going to believe this and let them away with it........

They should staple the pass out to your ticket...........

Is there a certain amount of turning a blind eye by the gate keepers? I would have thought so.

Bloke I spoke to in Dragon's at one point who came up to me for a light had no wristband. Said he'd basically blagged it in with other performers - many of whom still get in this way apparently.

I've been arguing on the Oxfam Stewards forum that the ticket system in over complex and failing to achieve its basic security aims. I'll post here if anything comes out of it.

I'm curious as to what they are..doesn't matter to me, I'll always buy a ticket..too far for me to travel to risk being told no lol

well yea just seems thaty if you can just say oh i lost my pass out and be allowed in..surely pass out is a waste of time?

BUT on the other hand, if you couldn't get in if you lost your passout it'd suck ..as im sure there are genuine cases where people lose the pass out
