I'll definitely consider Dairy again, it was a good place to camp, even if there weren't enough toilets to service the field (I walked down to park loos rather than join the constant queue in the welly washer river at Dairy)

I've been in Dairy for the past two years after being at the top of Big Ground or Cockmill Meadow, and really like it.
Don't have the uphill walk to get back home at 8am, and we've never heard or seen of any thefts.  Neighbours seemed to be as friendly as you wanted them to be as well, if that makes sense.

Got into the festival mid afternoon on Thursday and met up with some people who had been there since it opened. I'd been up since 6am traveling to the festival from Manchester and was absolutely ruined, so I went to get my head down fairly early (1am, early for Glastonburty!)

There was a group camped right near up that decided to stay up all night, but just around their tents. One of the guys there, clearly the loud mouth type, greeted everyone (people coming over, people walking past, people getting up to pee in a bottle... anyone basically) with the phrase 'Yo Yo Yo!' he must have said it about 50 times before I managed to get to sleep. I was minutes away from killing him, or myself.

EDIT: So angry I am, that I posted it twice.

Not too worried about the lack of sleep ( still catching up on it now ) and I love listening to the banter in and around tents near to me.

My first year, 2007, I was very tired the first night ( early start to arrive, stress of where to camp etc ) so when I went to sleep I got very annoyed when somewhere nearby a girl started to play a guitar and sing. Until I relaxed and actually listened to someone who had a beautiful clear voice - she sang Dolly Parton songs ( Jolene for instance ) and it was beautiful. I suddenly realised that hey, I was at Glastonbury, enjoy. You don't have to get up early as you don't have work to go to, just relax and enjoy...............

My friend and I tend to look after the younger campers around us, like this sunday we made sure they used sun cream etc.

What I enjoy is when just sitting near my tent with a drink to say goodmorning, afternoon, evening where appropiate when someone walks past on their way out of the campsite. Most react with an apologetic same - and from then on they always say same again when walking past again.

Great trick for starting up conversations and getting to know your neighbours, not just the close ones but also the ones who camped a little bit further away

My neighbours just decided that they liked the look of my camping spot so decided to move my whole tent, contents and all to another spot facing away from my mates and being partly under a gazebo so very noisy. This all happened whilst I was on my second trip to the car, Very rude.

Apart from that I  had lovely neighbours.

We set in the East CV fields on Tuesday and kept getting woken up by a stready stream of inconsiderate bastards walking past all the time. Some of them even had the cheek to be complaining about the rain and the heavy bags they were carrying. Selfish tossers

Yeah sorry, that would have been me! :)

Sod walking up & down that hill to gate c every day!

Our neighbours were a mixed bag, they were loud but f**king funny... mainly yelling at other loud neighbours who insisted to sing the hokey kokey for over a f**king hour straight

My favourites being 'RUN INTO A KNIFE!' 'YOU MAKE ME WAN'T TO EAT MY OWN FACE' and 'I REALLY DON'T LIKE YOU'

Also the was this group of girls who became the mos unpopular people in glasto because of their annoying laughing.... all the way into the wee hours... all the tents round us just chanted 'SHUT THE f**k UP! *clap clap clap clap* SHUT THE f**k UP!' though apparently people ended up pissing on their tents which took it a bit too far I think.

Was you in Woodies by any chance?
