Why on earth have they decided to take over a third of the family camping with the new waste area, This being one of the most popular fields could they have found somewhere else?? Also the top end of the field had been turned up with heavy plant so much that you were unable to camp, We got in at 10.30 and struggled for a pitch for our group. They also need to stop groups camping there with no children.. Great time though

completly agree, arrived there at 9.30 wed morning to find it nearly full, how did this happen ,it looked like tents had been there well before the gates opened. Sad to see so many families with lots of kids arriving in the pouring rain to be turned away, when the gates had only been opened a few hours.

We met a couple of workers who'd pitched in family camping on the Tuesday so you're right, people were there before. Admittedly we don't have childrens but went in, but as a last resort. We came in gate A (queued for two hours before) walked all the way to Cockmill without finding anywhere, the campsite lady said to go into the middle as there were small spaces & said it was ok if we weren't "family"
We pitched a few small tents in the spaces between everyone already there. Everyone was really friendly and even moved their guyropes over for us to fit in. We were very well behaved group though and made sure we kept the noise down. Everyone was so lovely - literally the nicest field ever - that I'd love to go back, but I don't want to take up room for genuine families.
