She is definitely a modern, female James Brown. Sadly I was a TV viewer this yesr, but her performance stood out an absolute mile. Definitely the major breakthrough act of the festival for me.

I didn't catch her at Glasto. Pulp and getting to Colplay got in the way, but have seen her 3 times and she has been fantastic on each occasion. She's HOT, got a distinctive style, has a wide range of good songs which should have mainstream appeal. WHY ISN'T SHE HEADLINING YET?!?!

I'm afraid -- having only watched it on TV -- I didn't get it at all.
But don't mind me. You lot carry on.

When you look at some of the other festivals she is playing this year she is way way down the bill. I expect her to be bumped up a few places now

When I got home one of the first things did was watch a bit of the highlights on iPlayer - for whatever reason it didn't even capture an ounce of the excitement and dynamic of the actual show. Weird.

Even on TV the performance looked really strong and did stand out, but I agree... apart from 'Come Alive' it didn't really capture the energy and excitement the show actually provided!

I caught her at The Big Chill last weekend. Towards the end of her set she made everyone sit down with just a wave of her hand, and just as we all got to the floor the heavens opened! It was like being made to sit and have a bucket of water chucked over you! She said "I made that happen" and it was quite possible to believe her!
It is always better to be standing rather than sitting when it is chucking it down, but such was her power over the audience that we were begging to be allowed to get back up, but staying down until she said we could get up! When she finally summoned us all back to our feet - the rain stopped! An amazing end to an incredible set!

Having seen Beyonces show for the first time, this restored my faith in female pop artists. Looked a bloody excellent show, loved the last number!

Beyonce highlights were on first last night; she was self-congratulary, cheesy, and sung too many power ballads.
Janelle Monae was the antidote to her, she was brilliant!
