Expanding on the Mike Batt thing, I did just see someone on the BBC news saying that the 'Wombles' might actually be some people we'll recognise, how many of them are there...?

You won't recognise them if they keep the costumes on.

Which they bloody well ought to.

I remain convinced that ME's comments about The Wombles are for exactly this reason!  He knows that people are going to get wind of who's in the costumes and has attempted to drive down the interest before hand so that those without their ear to the rumour-mill aren't planning on being there and cause it to be abandoned for being too busy.

That being the case, who's likely to suit up?

Jarvis seems obvious.
Damon?
Guy Garvey?
Chris Martin?
Jay-Z? (c'mon - it's unrealistic but how freakin' sweet would it be to see Hov doing rap versions of Wombles songs?!)

Would be cool if they took the heads of the costumes off at the end though, just so we could see who they were

No it wouldn't. It would be cool if at the end, we were allowed to keep thinking that some Wombles had come and played us some glam-rock.

8pm - Head to The Park for the "special guests"
We're not saying who, because we want to actually get in ourselves, but trust us on this one. You don't want to tell people you were at Ke$ha when the event of the weekend happens. Shoot to the Other Stage for Mumfords afterwards (8.45pm).

Got to be a big act if they are saying that.

Likely a shitty one if they're excited. I mean, they do suggest watching Mumford & Sons, after all.

I agree, they seem to be hinting at something very special (although I'll bet it's just Radiohead) but the entire day he describes sounds like the wanderings of a total f***tard!

Echo & The Bunnymen had a habit of dressing up for TOTP
Guy Garvey?
Chris Martin?

Really (Really) obscure one, BUT OFWGKTA are starting a European Tour any time now. Tyler has messed up his foot, but that hasn't stopped any shows, and NME are big fans of Tyler (and Odd Future in general).

Note: If it is Odd Future, I might have to get very drunk to console myself.

Wrong way round for me (I can't miss Moz; don't care about Radiodead) but thanks for the info.

On the efests Twitter, Neil (I presume - may be Scott) is hinting at Radiohead for special guests tonight.

The sun thinks it's radiohead today - not a great source I know but I thought it worth mentioning.
