I want to start this thread by saying although I've only been 3 times Glastonbury is a huge part of my life. I come on here about 5 times a week, talk about it with everyone I meet and have a framed ariel photo in my downstairs toilet just to remind me of worthy farm.
I registered for this years festival but decided not to buy a ticket as I'm getting married next month and every penny counts at the moment. After months of debating and my mates sick of me moaning I wasn't going my best man and best mates decided to try and get tickets for them and myself in the resale however we weren't successful.
For the past weeks I've been cursing anyone with a ticket and hoping it rains on all of you people. Then to rub salt into my wounds firstly my favourite radio show (the incubate monkey cage) announce their doing a recording on site then Mexican wrestling is announced (I have varied taste :-p) finally the special park guests could be pulp and/or radiohead!! My 2 favourite bands!!!
However today the Glastonbury spirit washed over me and I thought I'd stop moaning and come on here and tell everyone who's going the following...
"SMILE IT'S GLASTONBURY WEEK! ITS THE BEST PARTY OF THE YEAR AND YOU'RE GOING! IF IT RAINS WHO CARES, IF IT'S TOO WARM JUST GRAB ANOTHER COLD BROTHERS AND KEEP ON SMILING. IF YOU MISS YOUR FAVOURITE BAND JUST EXPLORE A LITTLE AND FIND ANOTHER, TRY NEW FOODS, MEET NEW PEOPLE, WATCH THE SUN SET AT THE OTHER STAGE AND WATCH IT RISE AT THE STONE CIRCLE, DISCOVER UNDERGROUND BARS AND BEER GARDENS IN DISTOPIAN FUTURES, SEE A CABERET SHOW, GET LOST, VISIT THE TINY TEA TENT, EAT A SQUARE PIE, USE THE LONG DROPS, DRINK BURBON, HUG A POLICEMAN, PAY RESPECTS TO JOE AT STRUMMERVILLE, DANCE TILL DAWN AND BE WOKEN BY THE MILK TRUCK, READ THE Q DAILY WITH A REAL SAUSAGE COMPANY SANDWICH AND A CUPPA, LEARN TO PAY UKELELE, IGNORE THE ABOVE AND DO WHATEVER YOU WANT....JUST DON'T FORGET HOW LUCKY YOU ALL ARE"

Hey thanks - but you will go again! I had a ten year gap when I got married - but have been most times again since 1997. These days go with the wife and kids (15 and 22). Glasto gets in your blood - and it is great experience which changes each time.
