Still mainly guess work Monday, Tuesday doesn't look good (we could do with a day like we've had oop north today to dry things out), showers Wednesday, less showers Thursday then like the Bahamas for the rest of the weekend.
I think that's what he said.

It certainly was okay in '08 - the 'glue mud' mentioned irritated my boyfriend no end on friday afternoon between the john peel tent and the pyramid stage, but by friday evening it'd all but dried up and saturday/sunday were brilliantly sunny. we both had a tan by saturday night.

It drizzled constantly...which was interminable and not good for the clay/mud. The land needs a proper downpour on it to keep the ground/mud flowing nicely.
Fingers crossed dancing shall actually happen at the Chems unlike 97 when I was concreted into place from the ankles down for 2 solid hours
Can anyone remind me what rain we had in 08 please?
One positive note, we will all have buns of steel by Sunday with all the traipsing. DOnt forget to perfect the Glastonbury Mud Shuffle .

It was terrible. If I hadn't been camping with so many cool people I would have f-ed off home on Saturday morning like some of my friends did.

Calm down with your mud talk...Thur/Fri sunny intervals and then dry for rest of weekend

LOL. I can remember in 2005 complaining it was too hot on the wednesday…..oops!!!! To be honest after last year. well lets just say it's easier to warm yourself up in a field than it is to cool yourself down.

Notice they hung a cloud over the west country (nowhere else in south) on Wednesday - I think they are working in cahoots with the bookies
Glasto - Last year sun , has to be some rain some point then!

How was it 'really bad'?? Only two days of minimal rain next week, followed by two partially sunny ones then they said "should be a dry weekend"

lol, too true. the beeb's 5 day forecasts can be real shit. the local 5 day forecast for london showed sun and no rain for days on end. the bbc national forecast that followed it showed heavy rain on wed in london. that's the rain that will be in the west a bit earlier.

i was pretty happy with what countryfile said tbh... cant expect no rain at all, not exactly the end of the world. rather it wouldn't rain when im setting my tent up though cos that will be such a pain in the arse!

Seems good, hopefully enough rain to scare away the trendy types and a reduce demand for 2013. (What we really is major washouts of the V/Reading/Leeds/TiTP and prehaps IOW next to:P). Then nice enough for standing around watching some bands with news and bbc switching to pictures of the extreme mud!.
