My mate is on about not coming because of the rubbish weather forecast. He is basing his decision on when he went to V a few years ago and it rained all weekend and he hated it. Now i have tried telling him you can’t compare the two and nothing i say is changing his mind. I find this astounding i really do. What a waste.

Even if the forecast said constant torrential downpours and gales for 5 days, the thought of not going wouldn't cross my mind even for a second.
Tell him to get some wellies and man the f**k up!

The forecast isn't even that bad ffs. A few showers here and there.

I've discussed that approach, but we agreed "you can't". If you have a ticket, you can't not go.
Having said that, the ticket is a sunk cost, so the rational thing is to spend the weekend doing whatever you think will be the most fun, and if sitting at home is more fun than a wet Glasto for you, then fine.
BUT! It's stupid to base it on today's weather forecast. He should at least postpone the decision until Wednesday.

The weather worries me a bit, but i think in preparation i am going to wear my wellies for the next couple of days, find the ocmfiest way of wearing them, and then, of course, it will be sunny all week.
I sort of understand, I hate mud. But it's nothing a few drinks and some good fun can't overcome

I was at that V - it was crap weather so I do sympathise. However it was largely rubbish due to the fact it was V - the rain just reminded you how little there actually is to do at that festival. I swore then I wouldn't go back to V, not because of the weather but because literally the only late night entertainment was people raving around a burger van playing happy hardcore.
Tell him to get some wellies, a poncho, and a good attitude and all will be well!
