Its fairly obvious, people need to pay or they can't provide the facility, personally I don't mind paying a quid or so so that I can get money out without having the hike up to the farm, and get to see more music.
Also, I'd rather have the option of paying to use a public toilet than there not be a toilet at all, which, as they aren't exactly money churners is exactly what would happen if you didn't have to pay.
Don't get what people's issue is with paying for services that otherwise wouldn't be provided. Its like all the people that went mental when spotify introduced the 10 hours of music a month thing, its free ffs and if you want to use it more than that pay for it!

The ability to be able to pay for optional, additional services is a convenient bonus for some but others will prefer to use a free service when it's available. The 'when it's available' bit is key here.

I used to work for the company that provide the chargeable ATM's - to people saying "why should I pay to take my money out?" - well how do you think the ATM machines get run? on free power? and the guys employed to refill them, and fix them if they break - they need paying too. end of the day you are paying for a convenience that otherwise wouldn't be there.
Personally I always use the Natwest machine up by Worthy Farm, free to use and right by where I camp.

When I was litter picking last year we normally went past the ATM near to West Holts on way to Leftfield at about 8 in the morning and there was never any queue
