I don't get paid til thursday so won't be able to get all of my spending money before going on-site.
Any idea how quickly the ATMs empty out on site?
Are they refilled at all over the weekend?

I camped close to the ATMs in 2005 and I am sure they were filled up quite often (when they were working!)
The queues were enormous though, I am sure it must have took a couple of hours to get your cash out during the day, so the best tine to get your cash out is 2am in the morning when the queues are gone
I always take as much cash as I can to avoid the need to go to the ATM

Will try and visit early thursday morning then!

By far the best ones to use are up by the farm. Natwest basically set up a temporary bank. There's no charge to use the ATMs (unlike the ones in other parts of the site). If memory serves there are about 5 of them and the queues aren't bad at all because they're open 24 hours so you can visit at quieter times.

I use the ATMs every year, never had to queue for more than 5 minutes, thing to do is to be constantly keeping an eye out, and then when you see one with a shortish queue go for it. There are some up at the farm or something that I think might be free, but I can't never be arsed going all the way over there so I just use the ones near west holts, you have to pay, but I'm in that area a lot, so its easy to make a swift dash for them.
Never known them to really run out of money, but quite often a fair few of them are out of order.

When you say up by the farm, where exactly is that?

If you are standing in the Pyramid field, looking straight at the stage it's basically up the hill over your right hand shoulder. Last year there was a BBC camera position up there that was fairly easy to spot.
The farm is also marked on all of the maps if you struggle to find it.

I always use the ones by the JP stage (always seem to get paid Friday of Glasto).
Yeah a charge, but never queued more than 5 minutes in 5 years of using them

Yes, I found the ones by JP tent fine, not too many people, used them several times and a couple of quid for the convenience of onsite ATMs fair enough, so much better than having to carry all your dosh around with you, like years gone by!

A tip for any overseas visitors, which we discovered during our first Glastonbury in '09. Our U.S. bank ATM cards would not work at Any of the mobile atm's around the site, ONLY the ones up by the farm. They worked there perfectly, but we were clear on the other side of the site when we realized that we were out of money, and that the portables wouldn't work, so it was quite the trek just to get some cash out.

Do people think the Cash Machines are good enough to rely on if you don't take all the money you need for the festival with you?
I always have before, but being able carry a bit less cash on me would be nice.
