people should stop worrying about the weather and just be ready for whatever, rain or sun will still be good :)

I always wonder why they don't just put loads of weetabix down when it rains. Each biscuit could probably absorb a small pond(and leaving behind a tasty treat). I don't recommend the cheaper non branded product, it just doesn't have the suck.

I WIN!!! :P :P :P

I had the best bloody time identifying and dealing with the varying types of mud throughout the entire weekend. There wasnt any point at which it was possible to be able to match the precipitation with previous years and thus predict what was going to happen over each day and the endless Friday Mizzle™ did actually break me which was a real shame (tucked up in bed by 3am so no SL partying for me that evening).

There wasnt enough rainfall to warrant perfecting the GlastoMudShuffle™ anywhere compared to previous years but plenty of practise of MudMincing™ now officially endorsed by Professor Brian Cox happened. Only lost a boot once at the base of the Greenfields on the first night but I blame myself for not tightening my Trellies™. Soon learnt after that!

My legs have never been so toned after just 4 days of wrenching across site (Thursday was particularly painful but we still got through it).

Billy Bragg (or the compere?) was right when he told the Glasto Virgins in the crowd during Infinite Monkey Cage 'if you think this is a wet fest, you have no idea!'

The only way to deal to deal with it is/was to get nicely squiffy, laugh, giggle, go with it, stop and rest for a while, consider/reconsider your routes, look at the mud and assess its goopy/glue consistencies and pick a way through. Having a walking stick helped massively, I never got stuck once after Wednesday. Even went out just in sandals throughout the whole of Sunday daytime and then was in trainers in the evening.

I love the mud. The Dissertation shall and will be released in due course.

So true! There have been many worse years. At least this year we had sun as well as the mud!
