On other forums if you float your cursor over the topic title a window pops up and allows you to read the message.
Can be handy for quickly deciding if you want to continue reading the thread, any chance mods?

someone asked about this before, and while I thought it wasn't possible someone pointed out that it is already. Unfortunately I can't for the life of me remember how tho .... hopefully someone here is able to say?

hover your cursor over the thread title and a little icon with an upwards arrow should appear.  click that icon and you get a preview.
