David Bowie
The Cure

I reckon they are gearing up for Biffy Clyro headlining the main stage
also reckon RHCP will be touring a new album & be headlining along with Kings of Leon/Snow Patrol/Killers or whatever other generic former headliner they pull out

The Killers, Biffy Clyro, Kanye West(if he isnt announced for this year), Arcade Fire, Stereophonics, Elbow. My guess for the top 6 acts next year.

Biffy Clyro, Green Day, Kanye West (if not playing this year) and a random guess at Paul McCartney

judging by the way their delaying announcing things this year you probs dont find out who's headlining until you've pitched your tent!
my guesses so far are red hot chilis and biffy "headlining" but second last on mainstage

I think headliners next year will be The Killers, Arcade Fire and Blink 182! Would only want Arcade Fire out of those!

Yes
I'm trying to think of who will have new material then, or who has new material but isn't on the bill - Biffy, Kasabian spring to mind. Can't see Kasabian playing for a while, doubt that they'd want to do a Snow Patrol/Killers and return after one album. I can see Biffy taking the Friday headliner slot. Arcade Fire can certainly handle a headlining slot, I'm sure the Edinburgh Castle gig will be looked at closely. Can't help but see a pop/hip-hop act headlining at some point - Kanye, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, I'm guessing the organisers are looking at the reactions they get from Eminem, Jay-Z and Beyonce.
I'd like
Friday: Biffy Clyro
Saturday: Arcade Fire
Sunday: David Bowie (can see Gaga or Kanye before him)

At this rate we will probably know the 2012 headliners before the stage splits are announced for this year!

They weren't one of the three actual headliners though. There's no way they could/would/should be headliners, unless you've spotted some reason which I've missed.

If their new album does well enough, then no reason why they couldn't headline 2bh. I would be a weak headliner (IMO) but still headline worthy.
