I'm really looking forward to this as well. Not a super-extreme fan, but it's someone I've wanted to see forever, but for whatever reason just keep missing on regular tours.

I don't know what to expect at all. Sometimes he has played with a loud, quite rocking band; when I saw him at the Festival Hall about 3 years ago it was just him and "Chet". I'd love to see him reprise the "Eels with Strings" show sometime - great DVD, shame I missed the tour. Mixed feelings about the latest album, but still curious to see what he does this time.

Yeah, I missed that tour too. Gutted. They played a great set from what I've read.

Can't wait for Eels, I would love it to be sunny and for them to play Mr. E's Beautiful Blues. It would be perfect.

I'm just wondering if there's going to be any surprise covers (notes Sly and the Family Stone covers). I can only imagine what E would to a version Single Ladies.

I've spent the day relistening to his past three albums and have come the conclusion that, even if he only plays songs from these, it will still be an incredible set.

But he won't. He's going to give us Souljacker, and Grace Kelly Blues, and Flyswater, and Novocaine For The Soul and, god willing, Fresh Feeling and P.S You Rock My World.

In the past half hour, then, he's transformed into perhaps my most anticipated act of the weekend.
