Due to 3 days of allmost none stop rain here in somerset and it going very cold, the webcam shows tracks and fields turning muddy and met office saying this weather patern is set to the end of the month. I wonder if a hovercraft would be the best way to get about!!!
Seriously though as much as i want it as hot and dry as last year, its seems not many are giving real thought to what a serious wet gasto would need, wellies and a mack just wont cut it if its like the last 3 days here. people should think about 3 changes of dry warm clothes it wont flood due to improvments in drainage but, i wonder how many of the tents peeps are bringing are going to be up to the persistant rain. Being cold and wet and no dry clothes is not funny or healthy.

I have ordered my waterproof new jackets, my wife has ordered her wellies and I am looking to hunker down in my tent should it get too muddy...

It's obviously going to be sunny like last year.

But just incase I've bought new wellies, macs and waterproofed my tent. Same as last year (just incase) I'm putting all my clothes in plastic bags first, and bringing an emergancy binbag to put over my backpack if the worst does happen.

Also got a nice new tent with porch and mudflaps. I'm set!

I've tested my tent in enough heavy downpours (Beautiful Days last year and Bearded Theory this year both had very wet moments) to know it is waterproof. Not that it needs to be water-proof for Glastonbury of course.

My combat trousers and my new fleece jacket are both water resistant too, that combined with a good quality waterproof jacket and trousers, a leather hat and possibly taking riding boots (better than wellies as they have a zip to the heel at the back, so very easy to take off), and I am set for the worst conditions. Not that the conditions are going to be bad, it will be wall to wall sunshine.

It's pretty wet in Newquay! Though this means nothing, however it is coming over the threshold! Same thing this time last year though again this means nothing. Indicators are indicators not rules and waterproofs are waterproof for a reason. I'll be taking all the necessary precautions and hoping they have been in vain (30 degree heat and sunny as opposed to so wet it's irrelevant obv). For me it'll be spare tarp over hovercraft.

My daughter is heading off next month to work on an aid project in Cameroon for a year.  They have two seasons - wet and dry - and she'll be arriving in the middle of the wet.  So Mrs GH took her shopping yesterday and blew £400 on really good wet weather gear for her in Blacks.  I'm so jealous.  I haven't managed to amass such a collection of quality weatherproof gear in years of Glasto.  Still at least I don't have to have the anti-malaria jabs and take a mosquito net to Pilton.

exactly, think too many people are pretending it wont rain or cant rain, going on the weather recently and what you say the met office said, looks like it could be some rain

id expect spells of rain, not nonstop like it has been before 07 etc
